Does cccp give mplayer2 access to new codecs, or would it just call media player classic? I'll check with the IT group about whether there are any known issues with putting cccp on the work computers so I can give it a try. I'm not sure whether using cccp would fix the issue. Mov files can be played using the quicktime player, but embedded mov files in a powerpoint cannot be played in quicktime. Even mplayer2 isn't the full windows media player. I'd love to make it use media player classic, but I haven't found any settings to allow me to change the default player that powerpoint calls. I can't play the embedded mov files in windows because powerpoint gives me errors about mplayer2 not supporting that filetype. Read 76 user reviews of File Juicer on MacUpdate.
